"Ace of peAce" Alex Celemín is a singer, songwriter, arranger and musician born in Miami, Florida, and raised for seven years in Spain and Venezuela. Ace of Peace music combines rhythmic rock and call-and-response chanting into multi-lingual, pARTicipatory entertainment. Alex's voice and guitar reach out with hurt, experience and, finally, wisdom, engaging both the listener's mind and heArt. When coupled with his rag-tag crew of musician friends, his incandescent spirit can resemble a fisher king or space pirate rising above overwhelming odds.

Identifying as an 'experimental innovator' or late-bloomer, "Ace of peAce" has both early roots and also a long development stage. He was improvising wake-up ballads and playing the “cuatro” around age 5; he also says it has taken him at least twenty years to like his voice. "To 'fill my cup to over-flowing so that there is something to pass along,'" says Alex, "has been quite a lesson for me to learn and practice."

Like wine, cooking, or classics, some things just take time. While there have been accolades along the way, such as a Harvard degree and a prize at the LA Film Festival, much of Alex's musical career required patience and perseverance. "I'm after 'memorable' not necessarily viral, and it may take me a while to get what I'm after and/or for the marketplace to recognize me. I should have had a rich, doting father…"

A certain gallows humor and common touch pervades his lyrics. Further, it's hard to ignore his earnest, principled approach to self-growth and self-care…and where "a nod to the sacred replaces analytic, paralytic consumerism." He paid his way through Harvard heading the referee program. He got a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology at USM, and has maintained a private practice of training and coaching in West Hollywood, CA, for ten years. "I tried for years to start and maintain a band in Los Angeles. Now, I attend 12-Step meetings for co-dependence. peAce!"

Ace of peAce is looking to release an extended single featuring “Casual (Ain't No Such Thing)” as well as two collaboration songs—“Simple Song” and a live performance of “Barbie.” The single represents some of Alex's communal leanings and will be available at shows and through various digital distributors. This "simpatico" songwriter is also currently working on contests, college-radio placement, and TV licensing.
